Thinking of the nonsense poem "she sells sea shells by the sea shore". I seem to do better with watercolors if I make intuitive gestures with brush and color instead of thinking of a finished product. Process not a piece.
Computer challenged. Computer won. Unsuccessful attempt to install "subscribe to" feature so I made color changes. For one hour I had a red background, white and yellow text. No wonder bulls charge the red cape. This grey is more soothing and doesn't suck up the color like the former black background,

San Francisco Ghiradelli
Dinner date at Ghiradelli Square. Whisper soft nothings, groom her feathers, free food, quick mating and the date is over.

Virtual Figures
Thank you Anita Davies, for talking about online figure sketching. My first attempt was lines first. But I need more practice. Easier for me to create volume and movement with watercolor then brush pen and pen.

Had too much fun sketching poses that a live model could not hold. Tried to work with speed to prepare for real time people.
Practice practice. At this early practice stage I need to let the brush block in the movement for me.

Tea and Time
Time for tea between women, usually means time for talk. House shaped tea infuser is a gift from my daughter when she was in school. The watch with the red snake skin purse is from my friend, Joan. I wonder how she is. Too often, life gets hectic and difficult and too much time goes by without having that tea time between friends.

San Francisco 9th/Brannon

Randy's garden shed
Randy's property is on a hillside, a small area for his horse, this garden shed with a chicken coop next to it. He manages to have a small vegetable garden and still gets involved in the music scene. The man is full of stories. I only recorded some images of his collections of things, to remind me of some of his stories.

At Home Sketch Crawled
Did the hot June 21st sketchcrawl on my balcony closer to the refrigerator. But I did stand at the windows so it was more like being outside. The first is of the Presbyterian Church to the east. The second faces south, later in the day when the wind blew in from the west. Fat Graphikreide pencils, watercolor.
